Regular Season Round 3: Unicaja - Real Madrid 71-76

There was no surprise in Malaga where Unicaja (1-2) was defeated by Real Madrid (3-0) 76-71 on Sunday. Real Madrid made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game, while Unicaja only scored nine points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was naturalized Cape Verdean center Walter Tavares (220-1992) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-1986) chipped in 8 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Dario Brizuela (188-1994) who recorded 17 points and American-German forward Dylan Osetkowski (206-1996, college: Texas, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Unicaja's coach Ibon Navarro tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Real Madrid will meet at home Joventut (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Unicaja will play against Girona and hope to win that game.
