Regular Season Round 3: Start - Trefl 96-75

The most surprising game was a loss of Trefl (2-1) in Lublin on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Start (2-1) 96-75. Start dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl's 30. Start forced 19 Trefl turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Scoochie Smith (188-1994, college: Dayton) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Cleveland Melvin (203-1991, college: DePaul) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Start players scored in double figures. Start's coach Artur Gronek felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-1997, college: Nebraska) with 20 points and 4 assists and the former international Jaroslaw Zyskowski (203-1992) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Start is looking forward to face Asseco Arka (#10) in Gdynia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl will play at home against Enea Astoria (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
