Very important is a road loss of Bembibre against Araski on Wednesday night. Visiting Bembibre was defeated by Araski in a tough game in Vitoria-Gasteiz 62-67. Araski outrebounded Bembibre 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-1996, college: Temple) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Finnish forward Annika Holopainen (188-1993, college: ODU) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Helena Lopez (166-1996) responded with 20 points and American swingman Erin Whalen (185, college: Dayton) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Bembibre's coach Pepe Vazquez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Araski will play against Gernika at home in the next round.
