Tindastoll used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Reykjavik 85-70 on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Tindastoll. IR managed to win second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tindastoll forced 20 IR turnovers. Irish-British forward Taiwo Badmus (199-1993, college: UVA Wise) scored 26 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Keyshawn Keyshawn (192-1996, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. Spanish-Argentinian guard Luciano Massarelli (190-1993) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Collin Pryor (200-1990, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tindastoll will meet Njardvik on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. IR will play against Stjarnan and hope to win that game.
