Bottom-ranked Uppsala is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Koping Stars (4-2) 88-79 on Friday evening. Koping Stars made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Koping Stars outrebounded Uppsala 39-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Quatarrius Wilson (203-1996, college: SEMO) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard KeShawn Curry (195-1998, college: VCU) accounted for 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Koping Stars players scored in double figures. Koping Stars' coach Torbjorn Gehrke used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jordan Shepherd (193, college: California) came up with 23 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Viktor Gaddefors (201-1992, agency: 011 Sports) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Uppsala in the defeat. Koping Stars maintains third place with 4-2 record behind leader BC Lulea. Uppsala lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost. Koping Stars will meet Sodertalje (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Uppsala will play against Kalmar and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
