Regular Season Round 2: HBA-Marsky - Huima 103-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Huima in Helsinki on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by HBA-Marsky 103-82. The game without a history. HBA-Marsky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Huima helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Morris Ugusuk (189-2004) scored 16 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Eino Pallijeff (198-2004) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Four HBA-Marsky players scored in double figures. American guard Zach Naylor (203, college: Tarleton St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists (on 18-of-23 shooting from the field) and forward Santeri Mantynen (193-1995) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. HBA-Marsky is looking forward to face Raiders Basket in Jarvenpaa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Huima's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Aanekoski Kipina.
