Regular Season Round 2: Neptunas - TalTech 97-57

Very important is a road loss of Estonian TalTech against Lithuanian Neptunas on Friday night. Visiting TalTech was crushed by Neptunas in Klaipeda 97-57. Neptunas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to TalTech's 28. Neptunas forced 21 TalTech turnovers and outrebounded them 40-21 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by TalTech's players. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian swingman Viktoria Balaban (176-1997, agency: BIG) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Dalia Donskichyte (169-2000) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Annika Koster (182-1992) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Katlin Kangur (170-2006) added 9 points respectively for the guests. TalTech's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Neptunas will meet at home TTT Riga in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TalTech will play against Kibirkstis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
