Regular Season Round 7: Jamtland - BC Lulea 65-81

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Jamtland (2-1) in Ostersund on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by BC Lulea (5-0) 81-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jamtland. BC Lulea forced 19 Jamtland turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Belgian-American forward Michael Gilmore (208-1995, college: VCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Brendan Bailey (203-1997, college: Marquette) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. American forward Phil Carr (206-1995, college: Morgan St.) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Pierre Hampton (201-1991) added 16 points in the effort for Jamtland. Jamtland's coach Adnan Cuk rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. BC Lulea have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Boras. Jamtland at the other side keeps the fifth place with one game lost. They share the position with Nassjo. BC Lulea is looking forward to face Umea (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jamtland will play against the league's second-placed Boras and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
