Regular Season Round 4: Lowicz - AMW Gdynia 79-56

There was no surprise when 10th ranked AMW Gdynia (1-3) was outleveled by fourth ranked Ksiezak (3-1) in Lowicz 79-56 on Saturday. Ksiezak outrebounded AMW Gdynia 41-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by center Mateusz Fatz (205-1996) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and swingman Daniel Nieporecki (192-1994) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ksiezak players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by guard Stefan Marchlewski (184-1998, college: Morrisville St.) did not help to save the game for AMW Gdynia. Point guard Adam Wasowicz (186-1998) added 15 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ksiezak moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted AMW Gdynia dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Ksiezak will meet at home Notec Inowr. (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. AMW Gdynia will play against the league's leader LKS Lodz and hope to win that game.
