Regular Season Round 3: Obradoiro S. - Gijon 60-70

There was a surprise result in Santiago de Compostela where Gijon (1-1) beat Obradoiro S. (1-1) 70-60 on Saturday. Gijon forced 19 Obradoiro S. turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Angel Moro (182-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Samuel Barros (190-1998) helped adding 17 points and 6 steals. The best for the losing side was point guard Iago Fernandez (180-2001) with 18 points and Alonso Grela scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gijon will meet Porrino (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obradoiro S. will play against Covadonga and hope to win that game.
