Regular Season Round 3: Chantada - Betanzos 75-61

The biggest surprise of round 3 in EBA took place in Chantada where host Chantada (2-0) beat Betanzos (1-1) 75-61 on Saturday evening. Chantada forced 19 Betanzos turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Alejandro Rodriguez (188-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Carlos Noguerol (186-1993, agency: Promo Sport ID) chipped in 16 points. Four Chantada players scored in double figures. Chantada's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Guillermo Pereiro (191-1989) who recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Daniel Martin (187-1997) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Betanzos will play next round against strong La Leonesa trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Chantada will try to continue on its current victory against Ourense at home.
