Regular Season Round 3: Ponferrada - Navarra 75-86

There was an upset when Ponferrada (2-1) was defeated at home by Navarra (1-2) 86-75 on Saturday. Navarra forced 22 Ponferrada turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Pau Trevino (202-2002) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Raul Lobaco (195-2000) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Navarra players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Guillermo Mulero (191-1997) with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Senegalese forward Omar Lo (206-1997, college: CBU) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Ponferrada's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Navarra will meet at home Melilla (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ponferrada will play against Zamora (#14) and hope to secure a win.
