Quite upsetting was Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's (#6) 34-point home defeat in a game versus Duesseldorf who smashed hosts They shot 68.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 58.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Booker Coplin (191-1997, college: Augsburg) who scored 23 points and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Canadian guard Ryan Richmond (183-1996, college: Bentley) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Five Duesseldorf players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was New Zealand forward Matt Freeman (207-1997, college: UCSB) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and center Robert Oehle (209-1988) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively.
