Regular Season Round 3: Castello - Maresme 58-37

The most surprising game was a loss of Maresme (3-2) in Castellon on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Castello (2-1) 58-37. Castello outrebounded Maresme 41-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for forward Aina Martin (178-2000) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Laura Campos (-2001) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Queralt Coll (188-1994, college: Campbellsville) answered with 7 points and forward Mireia Vila (182-1991, college: St.Joseph's) added 5 points in the effort for Maresme. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello is again looking forward to face Maresme in Barcelona in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maresme's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Almeda.
