Regular Season Round 4: Handlova - Spisski Rytieri 88-96

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Spisski Rytieri (3-1) beat on the road 5th ranked Handlova (1-3) 96-88 on Saturday. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who scored that evening 31 points and 4 assists and guard Isaiah Washington (185-1998, college: LBSU) supported him with 30 points. Even 34 points (!!!), 7 assists and 4 steals by guard Keon Clergeot (185-1996, college: SE Louisiana, agency: GoEmpire Group) did not help to save the game for Handlova. Swingman Elizjah Scott (198-1999, college: LMU) added 18 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Four Handlova players scored in double figures. Handlova's coach Tihomir Bujan let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Spisski Rytieri have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Levice. Handlova lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Iskra Svit. Spisski Rytieri will meet at home league's leader Levice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Handlova will play against Inter Bratislava (#3) and hope to win that game.
