Regular Season Round 3: Omis-Cagalj T. - Mladost 111-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Mladost (2-1) in Galeb on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Omis-Cagalj T. (2-0) 111-82. Omis-Cagalj T. dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Mladost's 44. They outrebounded Mladost 44-27 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Omis-Cagalj T. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mladost's players. It was a good game for center Zvonko Buljan (206-1987, college: TCU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Ivan Mimica (190-1980) contributed with 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. Omis-Cagalj T.'s coach Ante Nazor felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Petar Ogrizovic (182-1999) answered with 19 points and guard Luka Mrsic (193-2002) added 17 points in the effort for Mladost. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omis-Cagalj T. are looking forward to face Dubrovnik (#4) on the road in the next round. Mladost will play against Osijek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
