Regular Season Round 2: Wroclaw - Torun 60-79

Very expected game when Wroclaw was smashed at home by Katarzynki 79-60 on Saturday. Katarzynki had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. American guard Alexis Jones (175-1994, college: Baylor) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Marte Grays (188-1996, college: DePaul) supported her with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Stephanie Jones (188-1998, college: Maryland) did not help to save the game for Wroclaw. The former international forward Anna Jakubiuk (182-1994) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Katarzynki will meet at home Lublin in the next round. Wroclaw will play against Polonia W-wa in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
