Regular Season Round 3: Burgos - Algeciras 92-66

The biggest surprise of round 3 in LEB Silver took place in Burgos where host Burgos (3-0) crushed Algeciras (2-1) 92-66 on Sunday evening. Burgos forced 19 Algeciras turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Rodrigo Seoane (202-1999) who scored 21 points. Senegalese power forward Abdou Thiam (210-1998) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Burgos' coach Diego Ocampo felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Javier Marin (190-1992) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and forward Alejandro Rodriguez (202-1998) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Algeciras will play next round against Zornotza trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Burgos will try to continue on its current victory against Moron in Morón de la Frontera.
