Regular Season Round 3: Piacentina - Empoli 68-57

Very predictable result in Piacenza where Piacentina (2-1) defeated Empoli (0-3) 68-57 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-1991, agency: SLN) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Simone Angelucci (198-1998) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Piacentina players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Andrea Casella (195-1990) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and center Anfernee Hidalgo (180-1996) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piacentina will meet Matelica (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Empoli will play against Ancona and hopes to get finally their first victory.
