But Nardo was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Mirandola 79-76 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-1992, college: Ohio St.) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Anthony Miles (184-1989, college: Lamar) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-1988) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian swingman Vojislav Stojanovic (199-1997) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Nardo players scored in double figures. Mantova will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nardo will play against Ravenna (#13) and hope to win that game.
