A very close game took place in Brescia between Brescia and Scafati. Brescia (2-1) got a very close home victory over Scafati (0-3). Brescia managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Brescia made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Scafati turnovers. Strangely Scafati outrebounded Brescia 43-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman John Petrucelli (193-1992, college: Molloy) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 4 assists. International Amedeo Della Valle (192-1993, college: Ohio St., agency: SLN) accounted for 20 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Myke Henry (198-1992, college: DePaul) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American-Panamanian guard Doron Lamb (191-1991, college: Kentucky) added 19 points respectively for Scafati in the defeat. Four Scafati players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Brescia will meet Brindisi (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Scafati will play against Verona (#14) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
