Regular Season Round 3: Sibiu - Targu Mures 86-80

An interesting game for Sibiu (3-0) which hosted in Sibiu Targu Mures (1-1). Sibiu managed to get a 6-point victory 86-80. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-80. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian Roberts Blumbergs (208-1998, college: GCU) who led the winners and scored 21 points. American center Dallas Walton (213-1998, college: Wake Forest, agency: Players Group) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-1987) came up with 18 points and 4 assists and center Szabolcs Santa (208-1987) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Targu Mures in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sibiu will meet Cluj Napoca on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Targu Mures will play against Ploiesti CSM (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
