A very close game took place in Ostersund between Nassjo and Jamtland. Sixth ranked Nassjo (3-1) got a very close victory on the road over their close opponent Jamtland (2-3). Nassjo managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 on Tuesday evening. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-1992, college: Oregon St.) who scored 25 points and 5 assists. American guard Derreck Brooks Jr (198-1994, college: Cent Arkansas) chipped in 23 points. American guard RayQuan Evans (193-1998, college: FSU) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Phil Carr (206-1995, college: Morgan St.) added 15 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. Four Jamtland players scored in double figures. Jamtland's coach Adnan Cuk tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nassjo moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Norrkoping. Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Nassjo will meet higher ranked Koping Stars (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Jamtland will play against Umea (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
