Regular Season Round 5: GTK - Trefl 82-92

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Trefl (4-1) beat 6th ranked GTK (2-2) in Gliwice 92-82 on Wednesday. They outrebounded GTK 36-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Trefl looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Garrett Nevels (188-1992, college: Hawaii) nailed 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international Michal Kolenda (202-1997) accounted for 24 points. American forward Kamari Murphy (206-1993, college: Miami, FL) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Terrance Ferguson (198-1997) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for GTK in the defeat. Four GTK players scored in double figures. Trefl moved-up to second place, which they share with Stal. Loser GTK dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. Trefl will meet Spojnia (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GTK will play against Asseco Arka and hope to secure a win.
