Regular Season Round 3: Bydgoszcz - Arka Gdynia 74-89

Arka Gdynia (3-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat Bydgoszcz (0-2) 89-74. Arka Gdynia players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a quality performance for international center Kamila Borkowska (201-2002) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Haley Gorecki (183-1996, college: Duke) accounted for 11 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Arka Gdynia players scored in double figures. Arka Gdynia's coach Jelena Skerovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Stephanie Kostowicz (188-1995, college: Milwaukee) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Sparkle Taylor (178-1995, college: UTEP) added 23 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Bydgoszcz in the defeat. Arka Gdynia will play against Gorzow Wlkp. in Gorzow Wielkopolski in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bydgoszcz will play on the road against Polkowice (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
