Regular Season Round 2: Duga - Banovici 96-74

First defeat of Bosnian Banovici against Serbian Duga 96-74 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Duga. Banovici managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Banovici 45-19 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Olga Stepanovic (180-1994) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Courtney Cleveland (178-1999, college: SHSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Duga players scored in double figures. American guard Aaliyah Dunham (165-1999, college: Marshall) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and center Ajla Ikanovic (192-1999) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Banovici. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Banovici will play next round against Play Off trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Duga will try to continue on its current victory against Zagreb on the road.
