Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Estepona (3-1) won against on the road 11th ranked Ardoi (2-3) 54-44 on Wednesday. Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-1993) stepped up and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Noelia Masia (182-1998) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Anna Prim (168-2003, college: Colorado St.) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and center Claudia Calvelo (192-1992) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Ardoi's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Estepona moved-up to fourth place. Loser Ardoi dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Real Canoe and Cordoba. Estepona will meet at home Zamarat (#7) in the next round. Ardoi will play against Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
