There was no surprise when 13th ranked CFBB (1-5) was crushed on the road by second ranked Union Rennes (5-1) 100-61 on Friday. Union Rennes shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Union Rennes looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by CFBB's players. Guinean forward Cheick Sekou-Conde (203-1992) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Guillaume Eyango (200-2002) chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Wilson Jacques (212-2005) with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Ilane Fibleuil (193-2005) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Union Rennes have an impressive five-game winning streak. Union Rennes keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with Toulouse and Chartres. Loser CFBB dropped to the twelfth place with five games lost. They share the position with Tours and Berck. Union Rennes will meet Poitiers (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against Vendee Challans (#6) and hope to win that game.
