The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Alcobendas as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B-B. Alcobendas smashed 6th ranked Quintanar at home 96-71. It was a key game for the top position in Group B-B. Alcobendas outrebounded Quintanar 40-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Jorge Tejera (200-1992) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Alberto de la Torre (201-1994) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest.
