Regular Season Round 4: Martinenc - Olivar 79-60

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Martinenc (3-1) outplayed much higher ranked Olivar (3-1) in Barcelona 79-60 on Saturday. Martinenc dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Olivar's 26. The winners were led by guard Aboubakar Samake (188-1998) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Josep Sole (195-1997) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Martinenc players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 7 rebounds by Swiss guard Bruno Vidarte (190-2005) did not help to save the game for Olivar. Guard Lucas Langarita (192-2005) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Martinenc moved-up to third place in Group C-2, which they share with Olivar and Pinta Castell. Martinenc will meet Esparreguera (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olivar will play against the league's leader Barca 2 (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
