Regular Season Round 3: LCC Tarp. - RSU 47-88

No shocking result in a game in Klaipeda where Latvian RSU (2-0) smashed Lithuanian LCC Tarp. (1-2) 88-47 on Saturday. RSU dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to LCC Tarp.'s 24 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. RSU forced 27 LCC Tarp. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by LCC Tarp.'s players. It was a great evening for center Evelina Otto (187-2006) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Mara Mote (178-2000, college: Arizona) helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. Five RSU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Brazilian Maisa Pereira (183-2002, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Latvian guard Elizabete Bulane (170-2003, college: Georgia Tech) scored 11 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Riga .
