Regular Season Round 4: Guimar - Estudiantes B 72-64

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Guimar (1-1) won against at home one of their biggest challengers Estudiantes B (1-1) 72-64 on Saturday. The winners were led by Jonathan Jorge (183-2001) who scored that evening 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and power forward Jorge Parrondo (194-2000) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) by Argentinian power forward Santiago Trouet (205-2004) did not help to save the game for Estudiantes B. Forward Michael Drame (195-1999) added 14 points for lost side. Estudiantes B's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Guimar left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Group B-B, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Estudiantes B. Guimar will meet Boadilla (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Estudiantes B's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Fuenlabrada 2.
