Regular Season Round 5: AGH 2 - Tarn.Gory 78-83

There was a surprise result in Krakow where eleventh ranked Tarn.Gory (2-2) beat higher ranked Korona (2-2) 83-78 on Saturday. Tarn.Gory forced 19 Korona turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-1995) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Jakub Czyz (205-1995) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Tarn.Gory players scored in double figures. Swingman Szymon Sobiech (198-2002) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Bartosz Lesniak (176-2006) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. Tarn.Gory moved-up to sixth place in Group C, which they share with AGH 2 and MKS DG 2. Tarn.Gory will meet at home league's second-placed Przemysl in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Korona will play against Czeladz (#14) and hope to secure a win.
