Regular Season Round 6: AIK Basket - Hogsbo 72-102

Superettan top team - Hogsbo (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked AIK Basket (1-4) in Solna 102-72. Hogsbo shot 61.2 percent from the field. They also forced 20 AIK Basket turnovers. Strangely AIK Basket outrebounded Hogsbo 42-23 including a 17-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Naturalized Israeli guard Jonathan Peleg (191-1994) notched 22 points, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and guard Alexander Karras (193-1998, college: E.Wyoming) supported him with 19 points. Five Hogsbo players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds by Turkish forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-1991) did not help to save the game for AIK Basket. Naturalized Turkish Erkan Inan (195-1989) added 13 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hogsbo have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. AIK Basket at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Wetterbygden and Team4Q. Hogsbo will play against Norrort (#7) in Taby in the next round where they are favorite. AIK Basket will play against Sloga Uppsala (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
