Regular Season Round 6: Monaco - Bourg 76-70

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Monaco (2-3) won against at home higher ranked Bourg (2-4) 76-70 on Sunday. Ambroise Couture (199-2002) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Monaco swingman Loic Noudogbessi (195-2004) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Moulaye Sow (205-2003) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Elian Benitez (180-2003) scored 20 points and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Monaco moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Fos-Provence. Bourg lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Le Mans and Strasbourg. Monaco will meet Strasbourg (#15) on the road in the next round. Bourg will play against Levallois where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
