Regular Season Round 4: Almozara - Agora Portals 91-70
Date: October 23, 2022
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Almozara and bottom-ranked Agora Portals had identical 0-3 record. This time Almozara used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Calvia 91-70 on Sunday night. Almozara forced 21 Agora Portals turnovers. The winners were led by Jorge Bermudez (187-1997) who scored that evening 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Venezuelan center Wilmer Peraza (194-1990) supported him with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by Francesc Felip Pons did not help to save the game for Agora Portals. Center Michael Ogunsuyi (200-2006) added 12 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Agora Portals players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Almozara (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place in Group C-1, which they share with Martorell and Mataro Parc. It was Agora Portals' fourth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Quart-Germans C. Almozara will meet higher ranked Alfinden (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Agora Portals will play against Sol Girones (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
