Regular Season Round 3: Ensino - Jairis 56-55

There was a surprise result in Lugo where Ensino (2-2) edged Jairis (2-2) 56-55 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Paula Ginzo (187-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Alba Prieto (180-1999, college: S.Florida) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Lashann Higgs (175-1995, college: Texas) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Marina Lizarazu (173-1995, college: Iona) added 7 points and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ensino will meet Tenerife (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jairis will play against Zaragoza (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
