Regular Season Round 2: E.Holon - M.Haifa 90-76

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when M.Haifa was defeated on the road by E.Holon 90-76 on Sunday. E.Holon dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to M.Haifa's 22. E.Holon forced 21 M.Haifa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Bosnian forward Courtney Hurt (185-1990, college: VCU) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. American swingman Alex Harden (180-1993, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 21 points and 9 assists. Four E.Holon players scored in double figures. American-Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo (188-1996, college: TCU) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and international guard Gili Eisner (178-2001) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. E.Holon will meet at home H.Rishon LZ in the next round, which may be the game of the day. M.Haifa will play against M.Ashdod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
