There was a minor upset when Gilboa Galil (1-2) was defeated on the road by Hapoel Jerusalem (1-2) 69-60 on Monday. Hapoel Jerusalem forced 19 Gilboa Galil turnovers. It was a great evening for Trinidad and Tobago-American Khadeen Carrington (193-1995, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. American center Zachary Hankins (211-1996, college: Xavier) helped adding 10 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Justin Gorham (201-1998, college: Houston) with 18 points and the other American import guard Payton Willis (193-1998, college: Minnesota) scored 18 points. Gilboa Galil's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Hapoel Eilat (#7) in the next round. Gilboa Galil will play against Hapoel Beer Sheva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
