Very important is a road loss of Hertzliya against M.Ashdod on Monday night. Visiting Hertzliya was crushed by M.Ashdod in Ashdod 103-74. M.Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Hertzliya's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hertzliya's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when M.Ashdod made 7 blocks. The other American import guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (180-1996, college: Maryland) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. M.Ashdod's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Breanna Richardson (185-1995, college: MSU) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Leah Azouri (172-2000) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. M.Ashdod will meet M.Haifa on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
