Regular Season Round 7: Poitiers - Rennes 94-104

Very expected game when 8th ranked Poitiers (3-4) was defeated at home by second ranked Union Rennes (6-1) 104-94 on Friday. Union Rennes made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Union Rennes forced 25 Poitiers turnovers. It was a great evening for Guinean forward Cheick Sekou-Conde (203-1992) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Ivorian forward Remi Dibo (201-1991, college: WVU) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. Union Rennes' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-1988, college: Colorado) responded with 20 points and point guard Marius Chambre (182-1998) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Union Rennes and four Poitiers players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Union Rennes.
