Important game to mention about took place in Reykjavik. Seventh ranked IA (3-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked Fjolnir (0-6) 88-85 on Friday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was a good game for Irish-British guard Lucien Christofis (188-1996) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anders Adersteg (197-1995) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. IA's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Kendall Scott (198-1999, college: MACU) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and guard Karl Birgisson (198-2004) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Fjolnir. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. IA moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Skallagrimur. Fjolnir at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Thor AK. IA will play against Hrunamenn (#7) in Fludir in the next round. Fjolnir will play against the league's second-placed Sindri and hopes to get finally their first victory.
