Regular Season Round 7: Le Havre - Lyon 93-68

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked STB Le Havre (5-3) smashed at home 11th ranked Lyon (2-5) 93-68 on Friday. They outrebounded Lyon 36-23 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Fred Thomas (196-1993, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Valentin Bigote (196-1992) helped adding 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. STB Le Havre's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Bahamas Aaron Levarity (203-1997, college: Milligan) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sya Plaucoste (193-2001) scored 16 points. STB Le Havre moved-up to fifth place. Loser Lyon dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Lorient and Les Sables. STB Le Havre will meet at home Besancon (#8) in the next round. Lyon will play against Hyeres-Toulon and hope to secure a win.
