Regular Season Round 10: Jamtland - Kalmar 85-60

Bottom-ranked Kalmar is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to eighth ranked Jamtland (3-4) 85-60 on Saturday evening. Jamtland outrebounded Kalmar 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. American forward Phil Carr (206-1995, college: Morgan St.) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import guard Landrius Horton (193-1998, college: Columbus St.) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Jamaure Gregg (201-1999, college: NSU) did not help to save the game for Kalmar. Center Tobias Sjoberg (205-1997, college: Marist) added 14 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jamtland moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Kalmar still closes the standings with eight games lost. Jamtland will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kalmar will play against Fryshuset (#10) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
