Regular Season Round 4: Udine - Alpo 65-42
Date: October 29, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Alpo (1-3) was outscored on the road by fourth ranked Udine (3-1) 65-42 on Saturday. Udine held Alpo to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Udine forced 21 Alpo turnovers. The winners were led by French power forward Angelina Turmel (197-1996, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Martina Mosetti (176-1995, college: Boston Coll., agency: DC Sports) supported her with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Udine's coach Massimo Riga felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds by center Serena Soglia (185-2000) did not help to save the game for Alpo. Power forward Annalisa Vitari (186-1996, agency: SLN) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Udine have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Alpo at the other side dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Udine will meet league's second-placed Costa Masnaga on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alpo will play against Trieste (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
