Regular Season Round 5: Brod na Savi - Ragusa 55-87

Premijer Liga top team - Ragusa (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Brod na Savi (0-4) in Slavonski Brod 87-55. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Brod na Savi's 28. Ragusa forced 21 Brod na Savi turnovers and outrebounded them 44-21 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Swingman Romana Stojanovic (186-1993) nailed 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) accounted for 9 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Ragusa's coach Cvetana Matic felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Shanassia White (180-1998, college: Benedict) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian center Jelena Zoric (185-1992) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Brod na Savi in the defeat. Ragusa have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Zagreb.
