Regular Season Round 6: Hammarby - Nassjo 2 90-88

A very close game took place in Stockholm between Hammarby and Nassjo 2. Sixth ranked Hammarby (2-1) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Nassjo 2 (3-3). Hammarby managed to escape with a 2-point win 90-88 on Saturday evening. Hammarby outrebounded Nassjo 2 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Emil Rudman (-2003) notched 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Noah Kelly (199-1997) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Hammarby's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Even 25 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) by Hampus Andersson did not help to save the game for Nassjo 2. Power forward Anton Politis (204-2003) added 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Hammarby and four Nassjo 2 players scored in double figures. Hammarby moved-up to fourth place, which they share with KFUM Lidingo and RIG Lulea. Newly promoted Nassjo 2 keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Akersberga. Hammarby will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nassjo 2 will play against Kalmar 2 and hope to secure a win.
