Regular Season Round 7: Nanterre - Gravelines 81-83

Gravelines' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Nanterre (3-4) on the road game in Nanterre 83-81. Gravelines players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for Zati Loubaki (200-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Hugo Boumpoutou (195-2004) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Gravelines' coach Bertrand Van Butsele allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side center Rodney Rolle (206-2002) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and center Louis Gouedan (206-2003) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines (1-6) left bottom position moving up to sixteenth place. Nanterre at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Strasbourg and Bourg. Gravelines will play against higher ranked Blois (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nanterre will play against Le Portel (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
