Regular Season Round 5: Roser - Granollers 70-85

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Roser (1-4) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Granollers (3-2) 85-70 on Saturday. Granollers made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Granollers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was forward Carles Homs (196-1996) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Gerard Vinallonga (-2002) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Four Granollers players scored in double figures. Point guard Adria Cortegano (185-2000) produced 15 points and Albert Montalvo (201-1999) added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Granollers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 8 other teams. Roser at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Granollers will meet at home Olivar (#6) in the next round. Roser will play against Helios (#14) in Zaragoza and hope to win that game.
