Regular Season Round 6: Granada - Obradoiro 93-89
Date: October 29, 2022
Very expected game when 13th ranked Obradoiro (2-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Granada (4-2) 93-89 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Granada shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Luke Maye (203-1997, college: UNC) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Liberian-American guard Thomas Bropleh (196-1991, college: Boise St.) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was British-Canadian guard Philip Scrubb (191-1992, college: Carleton, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 23 points and 7 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and British-Canadian Thomas Scrubb (199-1991, college: Carleton, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Five Granada and four Obradoiro players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Granada moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Obradoiro lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Fuenlabrada and Girona. Granada will meet Unicaja (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Obradoiro will play against Gran Canaria and hope to secure a win.
